made by local villagers in Ayutthaya.
The local community has passed on the classic method of Plai cultivation
from generation to generation. Plai has been dubbed a traditional herb and
Thailand’s important economic plant. With the abundant nutrient elements in the soil,
and the right amount rainfall each year, Ayutthaya is the major strategic area for
Plai cultivation, and related processed products.
The ginger farming, thus, is the main source of income for the communities in Ayutthaya.
